The Domaine l’Ange Gardien winery,
a dream come true !

In 2003, two friends, Jean-Louis Crête and Daniel Desjardins planned to start a vineyard to make their long-time dream a reality. Looking for an appropriate location to grow vines in the Quebec City area, they came to settle in L'Ange-Gardien on the Côte-de-Beaupré.

In 2006 they were joined by Bruno Fortin and Denis Morrissette, who were also enthusiastic about the venture. The picture shows the four owners (from left to right : Bruno Fortin, Jean-Louis Crête, Denis Morrissette, Daniel Desjardins).

The first vines were planted in 2004 and were added to over the next two years. The winery started offering it's products to the public in 2007.

In the spring of 2010, the Domaine purchased a neighbouring vineyard, moulin Petit-Pré, situated in Château-Richer to rapidly increase our production capacity. In December of the same year, nine other shareowners joined the group. Today, the vineyard contains 22,000 vines, 600 apple trees and 600 cherry trees.

In 2011, we have constructed a garage, purchased equipment and renovated part of the barn which will be used for the winery operations.

In 2012, a new building will be built to receive clients, sell products and serve as a reception hall. We plan to improve the access to the winery and the signboard.

A new building will be constructed to receive our clients, modernise our tasting room and offer a reception hall.

In the spring of 2010, the Domaine increased the production capacity by approximately 10 000 vines.

Today the property boasts approximately 20,000 vines, 600 apple trees and 600 cherry trees.
