Vignoble Domaine l’Ange Gardien

Awaken your senses at the Domaine l’Ange Gardien vineyard!

The Domaine l’Ange Gardien winery has been providing high quality products since 2007 to an ever increasing number of customers, restaurants and consumers alike. From the fields where the wine grower brings great care to grow the best fruits to the cellar master’s attention in the production of fine products, we take pride in offering the best from the heartland.

The winery is located in L’Ange Gardien, less than 20 minutes from downtown Quebec City on the highly touristic Côte-de-Beaupré. It is located on the avenue Royale (Route de la Nouvelle France) and is part of the bike route named in honour of cyclist Marie-Hélène Prémont.

2003: Two friends, Jean-Louis Crête and Daniel Desjardins, teamed up to make a dream come true: establish a vineyard in the Quebec City area. After years of looking for a site that would be appropriate for vine growing, they found it in the town of L’Ange-Gardien, on the Côte-de-Beaupré.

2004: In the spring, they bought farmland owned by the Letarte family in L’Ange-Gardien. The first vines of the Domaine l’Ange Gardien vineyard were planted in the summer and more were added over the following years.

2006: Bruno Fortin and Denis Morrissette joined the group in 2006, bringing enthusiasm and motivation to the growing vineyard.

2007: The Domaine l’Ange Gardien released its very first products for sale to the public in November. They were then mostly sweet.

2010: By purchasing the nearby Vignoble du Petit-Pré, Domaine l’Ange Gardien added 10,000 mature vines to its vineyard, speeding the development of the winery. Since then, the winery has grown to more than 22,000 vines and 600 apples trees. In December, new partners (shareholders) joined the business.

2012: Opening of a new building featuring a tasting room, boutique and showplace for the products as well as a reception room designed to accommodate up to 100 people for social or corporate events.
